Youth & Adult Services

Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide all kids, teens, and young adults a safe, clean, wholesome environment for recreation and education. We offer programs to encourage our young people to become their best selves; for example, After School Tutoring Program. The Y.A.S. provide our communities with experiences and activities that will help build strong children and young adults. We are here to help our children to achieve their greatest potential.

  • Help with Homework
  • Help to Improve Academics
  • Build Confidence & Self-Esteem
  • Create Friendships
  •  Play Hard & Have Fun
We want to make sure we are serving the needs of all families in our communities. If you are interested in joining either one of the Centers, then please stop by either location to fill-out an application.
Throughout the housing neighborhoods, there are four community buildings two of which contain full service community facilities. These facilities include:
  • A learning center with computers and Internet access
  • A gymnasium, game room
  • Arts and crafts room
  • A full service kitchen
  • An outdoor playground and playing field.
Programs are being developed to serve all ages both in the facilities and throughout the residential neighborhoods.
Youth programs include after school and intercession structured activities. We provide tutorials and other academic programs, arts and crafts, social and lifetime skills, sports, and selected educational field trips.
The community center’s hours of operation have been extended to be available for residents after the youth program in the afternoon. For adults using the entire facility, both structured and unstructured services are available.
The Honor Roll Incentive Program is to reward students who make the honor roll in school, grades K-through-12th at the end of the 9-weeks. Our mission is to keep these bright minds excited about learning and to offer them rewards throughout the school year for making good grades. The program also encourages other students to try harder to achieve the honor roll.
There are 3 options to bring in your school report card:
  1. Take their Honor Roll report card to the YAS Center and the manager will make a copy of it.
  2. Email a copy of the report to your YAS manager.
  3. Text a CLEAR picture of the FULL report card to your YAS manager.
Ok, kids….it is up to you to work hard and get those A’s & B’s. I know you can do it, so let us get to it!!!!
